Billing and Credentialing FAQ

Quick answers to the questions providers and practice managers ask most often. If we missed yours, send us a note.

Getting started

How do we get started with SOSA?

Start by scheduling a consultation or requesting a quote. We’ll ask about your specialty, provider count, claim volume, EHR, payer mix, credentialing needs, and current revenue challenges.

What information do you need from our practice?

Typical onboarding information includes provider details, payer information, EHR access requirements, claim workflow details, NPI/CAQH information, insurance cards, billing preferences, and current AR or denial concerns.

Billing

How often should we send billing information?

Consistent daily or weekly submission is best for keeping claims moving and reducing filing delays.

Do you handle patient billing?

Patient statements can be included depending on the service scope. SOSA can discuss whether patient billing, payment plans, or collection workflows make sense for your practice.

How do you handle denied claims?

SOSA reviews the denial reason, determines whether the denial is valid, correctable, or appealable, then follows the payer’s process for correction, resubmission, or appeal.

Credentialing

Do you provide credentialing services?

Yes. SOSA supports CAQH, payer applications, provider enrollment, status tracking, follow-up, and recredentialing.

How long does credentialing take?

Credentialing timelines vary by payer and provider circumstances. Many payer processes can take 90–120 days, so start early when adding a provider or launching a practice.

Security

Can we send PHI through the contact form?

No. Do not send protected health information through public website forms. SOSA can provide secure processes for sensitive onboarding or client documentation when appropriate.

Pricing

How much do services cost?

Pricing depends on provider count, claim volume, services needed, credentialing scope, EHR complexity, and cleanup needs. Schedule a consultation for a practice-specific estimate.

A short consultation usually answers more than an email thread.
